PlateFuge™ Microcentrifuge
With a small footprint (9×10 in.), the PlateFuge™ has a swing out rotor capable of securing 2 microplates. With a g-force of 600 xg, samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds. The rotor chamber includes two plate carriers that rest at a 75° angle. The plates can be inserted without sealing tapes or caps. The rotor accelerates and the centrifugal force “swings” the plates into a horizontal position when the lid closes. Droplets on the walls of the plate quickly concentrate into the well bottoms. The electric brake brings the rotor to a quick, smooth stop in just 4 seconds when the lid is opened.
